Here's something worth checking out. The Authors Show is having a contest called 'Fifty Greatest Writers You Should Be Reading.' You enter your name and the title of your book and if you're selected, then you're invited to join the contest. After that, you submit an essay that talks a little bit about your writing journey and get as many people as possible to vote for your essay. Those with the most votes will advance to the next round, where people vote them into the 'winners circle.'

Congratulations!
I want to take a second to say a huge "Congratulations!" to one of my best friends, Erin Heckel.
Erin is a budding actress who has been in performances such as 'The Music Man' and 'Cinderella.' She's also starred in 'Pride and Prejudice' and now she plays 'Marmee' in the musical adaption of Louisa May Alcott's novel 'Little Women.' You can check out the performance dates and times on none other than www.broadwayworld.com
I was so thrilled and proud of Erin when I saw her name on that website. Go ahead and check it out for yourself.

Book List
Brr! As the weather's gotten colder, there isn't really too much to do. Maybe except find a bunch of great new books to read. What are some of the genres you like to read in the colder months?

A writing challenge a day
I found something that looks rather interesting. It's a twenty-one day writing challenge, where an author gives you challenge/exercise to complete once a day. I'm not quite good at explaining things like this, so here's the link to the website where writer Shannon Abercrombie does a much better job at explaining this challenge than me. http://www.shannonabercrombie.com/
